1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using velarelogistics.com or engaging Velare Logistics ("we," "our," or "us") for medical courier or logistics services, you ("you" or "Client") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use our website or services.
2. Services
Velare Logistics provides medical courier, STAT delivery, lab specimen transport, pharmaceutical delivery, and related logistics services across Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Howard County, Anne Arundel County, and surrounding Mid-Atlantic regions. Services are subject to availability, scheduling, and a signed service agreement where applicable.
3. Client Responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate pickup and delivery information, properly package materials in compliance with applicable regulations (including OSHA bloodborne pathogen and DOT requirements where relevant), disclose any hazardous or temperature-sensitive contents, and ensure authorized personnel are available at pickup and delivery locations.
4. HIPAA and Confidentiality
Velare Logistics maintains HIPAA-aware handling practices and will enter into Business Associate Agreements with covered entity clients as required. You are responsible for ensuring that any Protected Health Information (PHI) handed to us is transferred under an appropriate BAA.
5. Fees and Payment
Fees are quoted per the rate schedule or written agreement in effect at the time of service. Invoices are payable per the terms stated on the invoice. Late balances may accrue interest at the maximum rate permitted by Maryland law.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Velare Logistics is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or business interruption arising out of or related to the services. Our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the fees paid for the specific delivery giving rise to the claim.
7. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Velare Logistics, its officers, employees, and contractors harmless from any claims arising from your breach of these Terms, your violation of law, or improperly packaged or undisclosed hazardous materials.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on velarelogistics.com — including text, graphics, logos, and trademarks — is the property of Velare Logistics or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce or use any of our content without prior written permission.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Maryland.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our website or services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
